The Father Ryan Irish held off the host Ensworth Tigers soccer squad by a margin of 3-2 in Wednesday's league match.
The Irish now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westminster for a non-league game on Friday, April 5. Father Ryan will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Grissom (Huntsville, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 11-3.
The Tigers (5-2) will now prepare for their game against Christ Presbyterian Academy (Nashville, TN). The Lions go into the D II-AA Middle game with a 4-0 record. In their last game, Christ Presbyterian Academy nipped Brentwood Academy (Brentwood, TN), 4-2, in a league game.
