The Cardington-Lincoln Pirates (Cardington, OH) softball routed the host Elgin Comets (Marion, OH), 18-3 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Pirates (1-1) will now prepare for their bout against New Albany (New Albany, OH). The Eagles go into the non-league bout with a 2-1 record. In their last bout, New Albany was routed by Lincoln (Gahanna, OH), 16-3, in a league bout.

The Comets now possess a 0-6 record. They play next when they travel to North Union for a non-league bout on Saturday, April 6. Elgin will confront a Wildcats squad coming off a 11-0 league win over Urbana (Urbana, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-3.
