Spectators at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Manteno Panthers (Manteno, IL) and the host Bloom Blazing Trojan (Chicago Heights, IL), witnessed Manteno's baseball team knock off Bloom by a count of 7-3.

The Panthers now own a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wilmington for a Illinois Central Eight challenge on Monday, April 7. Manteno will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 6-2 non-league loss to Morris (Morris, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-5.

With the defeat, Bloom drops to 1-7 on the year. The Blazing trojan travel to Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL) to clash with the Raptors in a Southland challenge on Monday, April 7. The Raptors go into the challenge with a record of 1-4. Rich Township won 10-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Blue Island Eisenhower (Blue Island, IL)
