In Thursday's non-league game, the host Kelso Hilanders baseball team scored a close 6-1 win over the Capital Cougars.
The Hilanders (8-2) will now prepare for their game against Skyview (Vancouver, WA). The Storm go into the non-league game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, Skyview nudged Mountain View (Vancouver, WA), 11-7, in a non-league game.
Next, the Cougars play the River Ridge Hawks (Lacey, WA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, April 8. Capital will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record. The Hawks go into the game with a 4-6 record after their 13-0 league loss to Peninsula (Gig Harbor, WA).
