The La Cueva Bears baseball team scored 18 runs and held the host Rio Grande Ravens to 1 in the Bears non-league win on Thursday.
The Bears now hold a 12-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Manzano for a 5A District 2 test on Saturday, April 5. La Cueva will play a Monarchs team coming off a 13-9 non-league loss to Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM). The Monarchs record now stands at 7-6.
With the defeat, Rio Grande drops to 7-8 on the year. The Ravens host Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Bulldogs in a 5A District 5 test on Friday, April 4. The Bulldogs go into the test with a record of 4-13. Albuquerque lost 9-8 in their recent non-league test against East Mountain (Sandia Park, NM)
