In Thursday's non-league game, the host Ranburne Bulldogs baseball team scored a close 8-3 win over the Mt. Zion Eagles.

The Bulldogs (10-15) will now prepare for their contest against Horseshoe Bend (New Site, AL). The Generals come into the 2A Area 8 contest with a 6-11 record.

The Eagles now possess a 8-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Langston Hughes for a non-league contest on Friday, April 4. Mt. Zion will confront a Panthers squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Northgate (Newnan, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 6-14.
