In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Mentor Cardinals lacrosse squad scored a tight 10-9 triumph over the Laurel Gators .

The Cardinals (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against GlenOak (Canton, OH). The Golden Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, GlenOak edged Green (Uniontown, OH), 12-1, in a league battle.

The Gators now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Boardman for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 8.
