In Thursday's non-league test, the Swansboro Pirates (Swansboro, NC) lacrosse team edged the host Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC), by a count of 8-7.
Next up, the Pirates battle the Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC) in a Coastal test, on Friday, April 4. Swansboro will attempt to move on its 4-9 season record. The Cougars enter the test with a 11-1 record after their 9-7 non-league win over Hoggard (Wilmington, NC).
The Bears (4-7) will now prepare for their test against Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC). The Bulldogs enter the United 8/All American/Sandhills test with a 5-4 record. In their last test, Terry Sanford got by Hunt (Wilson, NC), 17-0, in a non-league test.
