In Thursday's non-league test, the Albion Purple Eagles (Albion, NY) softball squad got by the visiting Batavia Blue Devils (Batavia, NY), by a count of 6-5.

Next, the Purple Eagles meet the Wilson Lakemen (Wilson, NY) in a Section 6 Niagara - Orleans test, on Monday, April 7. Albion will attempt to upgrade on its 1-0 season record. The Lakemen go into the test with a 2-0 record after their 17-5 league win over Newfane (Newfane, NY).

The Blue Devils (0-1) will now prepare for their test against Churchville-Chili (Churchville, NY). The Saints go into the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Churchville-Chili was nudged by Wayland-Cohocton (Wayland, NY), 6-5, in a non-league test.
