The Joliet Central Steelmen overwhelmed the host Aurora East Tomcats softball squad by a count of 21-5 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Steelmen meet the Coal City Coalers (Coal City, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, April 4. Joliet Central will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Coalers go into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 13-9 non-league win over Joliet West (Joliet, IL).
The Tomcats (0-4) will now prepare for their challenge against South Elgin (South Elgin, IL). The Storm go into the Upstate Eight challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, South Elgin was routed by Wilson Central (Lebanon, TN), 9-1, in a non-league challenge.
