In Thursday's non-league match, the host Brusly Panthers softball team scored a tight 10-7 win over the Doyle Tigers.
The Panthers (21-3) will now prepare for their match against Plaquemine (Plaquemine, LA). The Green Devils come into the 4A District 6 match with a 11-11 record. In their last match, Plaquemine was routed by Central Private (Baker, LA), 19-4, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Chalmette Owls (Chalmette, LA) in a non-league match, on Friday, April 4. Doyle will attempt to better on its 18-7 season record. The Owls come into the match with a 13-7 record after their 11-0 non-league win over Fontainebleau (Mandeville, LA).
