In Thursday's non-league test, the Bureau Valley Storm (Manlius, IL) softball squad overwhelmed the host Orion Chargers (Orion, IL), by a tally of 10-4.

Next, the Storm clash with the Monmouth United Red Storm (Monmouth, IL) in a Lincoln Trail test, on Saturday, April 5. Bureau Valley will attempt to advance on its 6-5 season record. The Red Storm go into the test with a 1-6 record after their 15-8 non-league loss to Monmouth-Roseville (Monmouth, IL).

The Chargers (1-5) will now prepare for their test against Rochester (Rochester, IL). The Rockets go into the non-league test with a 5-0 record. In their last test, Rochester held off Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL), 21-0, in a league test.
