Indiana High School Softball - South Newton topped by Hanover Central

Hanover Central Wildcats (Cedar Lake, IN) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting South Newton Rebels (Kentland, IN), 13-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Hanover Central upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Wildcats host Chesterton (Chesterton, IN) to play the Trojans in a non-league game on Friday, April 4. The Trojans enter the game with a record of 0-1. Chesterton lost 10-7 in their recent non-league game against Hobart (Hobart, IN)

The Rebels now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Clifton Central for a non-league game on Monday, April 7. South Newton will play a Comets squad coming off a 11-1 league win over St. Anne (St. Anne, IL). The Comets record now stands at 8-4.
