The Leake Central Gators triumphed over the host Kemper County Wildcats softball squad by a count of 24-6 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Gators meet the Yazoo County Panthers (Yazoo City, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, April 4. Leake Central will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record.
The Wildcats (1-8) will now prepare for their challenge against McLaurin (Florence, MS). The Tigers enter the 3A Region 5 challenge with a 3-8 record. In their last challenge, McLaurin was routed by Enterprise (Enterprise, MS), 10-0, in a league challenge.
