The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Sycamore Spartans (Sycamore, IL) and the visiting North Boone Vikings (Poplar Grove, IL), observed Sycamore's softball team prevail over North Boone by a tally of 12-1.

The Spartans (3-0) will now prepare for their bout against Freeport (Freeport, IL). The Pretzels go into the non-league bout with a 1-4 record. In their last bout, Freeport was routed by Dakota (Dakota, IL), 21-3, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Blue Devils (Bismarck, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, April 4. North Boone will attempt to advance on its 4-2 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Fisher (Fisher, IL).
