The Plainfield Central Wildcats softball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Yorkville Christian Mustangs to 5 in the Wildcats non-league win on Thursday.

The Wildcats now sport a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Naperville Central for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 8. Plainfield Central will confront a Redhawks team coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Bolingbrook (Bolingbrook, IL). The Redhawks record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Yorkville Christian moves to 0-1 on the season. The Mustangs host Walther Christian Academy (Melrose Park, IL) to confront the Broncos in a non-league battle on Saturday, April 5. The Broncos come into the battle with a record of 2-6. Walther Christian Academy lost 17-0 in their recent non-league battle against Elmwood Park (Elmwood Park, IL)
