The crowd at Friday's league match between the Muncy Indians (Muncy, PA) and the visiting Northwest Area Rangers (Shickshinny, PA), saw Muncy's softball squad nip Northwest Area by a count of 7-3.

The Indians now sport a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they host Sugar Valley Rural for a non-league match on Monday, May 3.

With the loss, Northwest Area falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Rangers host Sullivan County (Laporte, PA) to clash with the Griffins in a Mid-Penn D4 test on Monday, May 3. The Griffins come into the test with a record of 3-8. Sullivan County won 21-11 in their recent league test against Neumann Regional Academy (Williamsport, PA)
