The John Battle Trojans baseball team scored 17 runs and limited the host St. Anne's-Belfield Saints to 4 in the Trojans non-league victory on Saturday.
The Trojans (6-2) will now prepare for their match against Gate City (Gate City, VA). The Blue Devils go into the Mountain 7 match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, Gate City was overwhelmed by John Battle (Bristol, VA), 13-1, in a league match.
The Saints (3-11) will now prepare for their match against Woodberry Forest (Woodberry Forest, VA). The Tigers go into the Virginia Prep match with a 6-12 record. In their last match, Woodberry Forest ran past Episcopal (Alexandria, VA), 2-1, in a non-league match.
