The Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies got by the visiting Newark Wildcats baseball team by a count of 6-5 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Johnnies now possess a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they host Newark Catholic for a Licking County bout on Monday, May 2. Johnstown-Monroe will face a Green Wave team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Bishop Hartley (Columbus, OH). The Green Wave record now stands at 11-3.
