California High School Baseball - Evergreen Valley can't hold off San Mateo

In Saturday's non-league game, the host San Mateo Bearcats baseball team scored a tight 7-6 victory over the Evergreen Valley Cougars.
The Bearcats (9-11) will now prepare for their game against Woodside (Woodside, CA). The Wildcats go into the game with a 17-4 record. In their last game, Woodside tipped Sacred Heart Prep (Atherton, CA), 11-1, in a league game.
The Cougars (6-5) will now prepare for their game against Silver Creek (San Jose, CA). The Raiders go into the game with a 6-13 record.
