The Margaretta Polar Bears softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Avon Lake Shoremen to 2 in the Polar Bears non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Margaretta improves its record to 18-3 on the year. The Polar Bears travel to Willard (Willard, OH) to clash with the Crimson Flashes in a Sandusky Bay - Bay game on Monday, May 2. The Crimson Flashes come into the game with a record of 1-6. Willard won 2-1 in their recent league game against Port Clinton (Port Clinton, OH)

In their next game, the Shoremen clash with the Riverside Beavers (Painesville, OH) in a non-league game, on Saturday, April 30. Avon Lake will attempt to improve on its 3-14 season record. The Beavers come into the game with a 10-2 record after their 11-8 non-league loss to Brunswick (Brunswick, OH).
