Alabama High School Softball - Buckhorn gets by Lincoln County

Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Buckhorn Bucks (New Market, AL) and the visiting Lincoln County Falcons (Fayetteville, TN), witnessed Buckhorn's softball squad tip Lincoln County by a count of 8-7.

The Bucks now sport a 19-14 record. They play next when they host Russellville for a non-league match on Saturday, April 30. Buckhorn will meet a Golden Tigers squad coming off a 8-1 non-league loss to Madison County (Gurley, AL). The Golden Tigers record now stands at 14-20.

With the loss, Lincoln County moves to 20-10 on the season. The Falcons travel to Spring Hill (Columbia, TN) to meet the Raiders in a 3A District 8 match on Monday, May 2. The Raiders go into the match with a record of 0-8. Spring Hill lost 14-1 in their recent league match against Tullahoma (Tullahoma, TN)
