The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Carroll Chargers (Fort Wayne, IN) and the visiting Kouts Mustangs & Fillies (Kouts, IN), saw Carroll's softball squad nip Kouts by a count of 10-7.

The Chargers now sport a 10-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Noble for a non-league match on Tuesday, May 3. Carroll will face a Knights squad coming off a 17-0 league loss to Leo (Leo, IN). The Knights record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Kouts falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Mustangs & fillies host Hebron (Hebron, IN) to face the Hawks in a Porter County match on Monday, May 2. The Hawks enter the match with a record of 14-1. Hebron won 11-0 in their recent non-league match against Hammond Central (Hammond, IN)
