Connecticut High School Softball - New Milford bounces Kolbe-Cathedral

The New Milford Green Wave routed the visiting Kolbe-Cathedral Cougars softball squad by a count of 14-2 in Saturday's league battle.

The Green Wave (7-6) will now prepare for their battle against Bunnell (Stratford, CT). The Bulldogs go into the Southwest - Patriot battle with a 6-6 record. In their last battle, Bunnell was routed by Notre Dame Catholic (Fairfield, CT), 11-4, in a league battle.

The Cougars now sport a 3-9 record. They play next when they host Bethel for a Southwest - Patriot battle on Monday, May 2. Kolbe-Cathedral will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 16-0 non-league loss to Masuk (Monroe, CT). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-7.
