In Saturday's non-league contest, the New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Lawrence Central Bears (Indianapolis, IN), by a margin of 11-1.

With the triumph, New Castle moves its record to 8-6 on the year. The Trojans travel to Greenfield-Central (Greenfield, IN) to play the Cougars in a Hoosier Heritage contest on Monday, May 2. The Cougars come into the contest with a record of 8-4. Greenfield-Central won 3-0 in their recent league contest against Mt. Vernon (Fortville, IN)

In their next game, the Bears play the Zionsville Eagles (Zionsville, IN) in a non-league contest, on Monday, May 2. Lawrence Central will attempt to move on its 4-7 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 5-8 record after their 7-1 league loss to Fishers (Fishers, IN).
