The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Neshannock Lancers (New Castle, PA) and the visiting Ligonier Valley Rams (Ligonier, PA), saw Neshannock's softball squad nip Ligonier Valley by a count of 3-1.

The Lancers now sport a 12-0 record. They take the field next when they host Mohawk Area for a WPIAL 2A 4 match on Monday, May 2. Neshannock will face a Warriors squad coming off a 8-2 league loss to Neshannock (New Castle, PA). The Warriors record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, Ligonier Valley falls to 5-2 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Jeannette (Jeannette, PA) to face the Jayhawks in a WPIAL 2A 2 match on Wednesday, May 4. The Jayhawks enter the match with a record of 0-13. Jeannette lost 15-0 in their recent league match against Seton LaSalle (Pittsburgh, PA)
