The Maine East Blue Demons softball team scored 22 runs and limited the visiting Northside Mustangs to 14 in the Blue Demons non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Maine East improves its record to 6-7 on the year. The Blue Demons travel to Deerfield (Deerfield, IL) to clash with the Warriors in a Central Suburban - North game on Tuesday, May 3. The Warriors come into the game with a record of 3-9. Deerfield won 5-3 in their recent league game against Niles North (Skokie, IL)

In their next game, the Mustangs clash with the Chicago Washington Patriots (Chicago, IL) in a non-league game, on Monday, May 2. Northside will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Patriots come into the game with a 2-7 record after their 19-3 league loss to Lincoln Park (Chicago, IL).
