Althoff Catholic Crusaders (Belleville, IL) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Mater Dei Knights (Breese, IL), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Crusaders confront the Mt. Carmel Golden Aces (Mt. Carmel, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, May 10. Althoff Catholic will attempt to better on its 9-9 season record. The Golden Aces enter the challenge with a 1-6 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Harrisburg (Harrisburg, IL).
The Knights now have a 9-7 record. They take the field next when they host Southwestern for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 1. Mater Dei will confront a Piasa Birds team coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Highland (Highland, IL). The Piasa Birds record now stands at 6-14.
