Colusa RedHawks (Colusa, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Orland Trojans (Orland, CA), 12-7 in a non-league challenge.

The RedHawks now own a 16-3 record. They take the field next when they host Gridley for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 2. Colusa will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 26-3 league win over Oroville (Oroville, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-4.

With the loss, Orland falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Las Plumas (Oroville, CA) to battle the Thunderbirds in a challenge on Thursday, May 2. The Thunderbirds enter the challenge with a record of 16-4. Las Plumas won 24-9 in their recent league challenge against Corning (Corning, CA)
