The Watertown Indians routed the visiting Ansonia Chargers softball squad by a final score of 17-5 in Tuesday's league battle.
The Indians (14-1) will now prepare for their battle against Oxford (Oxford, CT). The Wolverines go into the Naugatuck Valley - Brass battle with a 6-3 record. In their last battle, Oxford was routed by Woodland Regional (Beacon Falls, CT), 14-2, in a league battle.
The Chargers now possess a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Naugatuck for a non-league battle on Wednesday, May 1. Ansonia will confront a Greyhounds squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to St. Paul Catholic (Bristol, CT). The Greyhounds record now stands at 7-4.
