Madison-Grant Argylls (Fairmount, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Blackford Bruins (Hartford City, IN), 9-2 in a league challenge.

The Argylls now own a 8-7 record. They take the field next when they host Lapel for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 1. Madison-Grant will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 12-5 non-league win over New Castle (New Castle, IN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-3.

With the loss, Blackford falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Bruins host Oak Hill (Converse, IN) to face the Golden Eagles in a Central Indiana challenge on Thursday, May 2. The Golden Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 14-2. Oak Hill won 14-4 in their recent league challenge against Elwood (Elwood, IN)
