Calhoun Warriors (Hardin, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Quincy Notre Dame Raiders (Quincy, IL), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 21-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to O'Fallon for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 3. Calhoun will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 14-2 league loss to Belleville East (Belleville, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 5-18.

With the loss, Quincy Notre Dame falls to 14-2 on the campaign. The Raiders host Macomb (Macomb, IL) to battle the Bombers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 2. The Bombers enter the challenge with a record of 9-7. Macomb lost 7-6 in their recent league challenge against Cuba/Spoon River Valley (Cuba, IL)
