Caston Comets (Fulton, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Eastern Comets (Greentown, IN), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Comets now own a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Logansport for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 2. Caston will battle a Berries squad coming off a 8-7 league win over Kokomo (Kokomo, IN). The Berries record now stands at 15-3.

With the loss, Eastern falls to 7-6 on the campaign. The Comets host Taylor (Kokomo, IN) to battle the Titans in a Hoosier Heartland challenge on Wednesday, May 1. The Titans enter the challenge with a record of 1-7. Taylor won 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Tri-Central (Sharpsville, IN)
