Conant Cougars (Hoffman Estates, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Wheeling Wildcats (Wheeling, IL), 14-3 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Buffalo Grove for a Mid-Suburban East challenge on Wednesday, May 1. Conant will battle a Bison squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Hoffman Estates (Hoffman Estates, IL). The Bison record now stands at 7-8.

With the loss, Wheeling falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Palatine (Palatine, IL) to battle the Pirates in a Mid-Suburban West challenge on Wednesday, May 1. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 13-12. Palatine lost 2-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Carmel (Mundelein, IL)
