The Eureka Hornets routed the host Peoria Christian Chargers softball squad by a count of 11-0 in Tuesday's non-league battle.

The Hornets (5-17) will now prepare for their battle against Lexington (Lexington, IL). The Minutemen go into the Heart of Illinois battle with a 11-13 record. In their last battle, Lexington was routed by Illinois Valley Central (Chillicothe, IL), 5-4, in a non-league battle.

The Chargers now sport a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Woodland for a non-league battle on Wednesday, May 1. Peoria Christian will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 1-0 league win over Henry-Senachwine (Henry, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 10-8.
