Tell City Marksmen (Tell City, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Forest Park Rangers (Ferdinand, IN), 15-10 in a league challenge.

The Marksmen now own a 7-6 record. They take the field next when they host Hancock County for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 2. Tell City will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 16-1 league win over Breckinridge County (Harned, KY). The Hornets record now stands at 15-7.

With the loss, Forest Park falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Rangers travel to Gibson Southern (Fort Branch, IN) to battle the Titans in a Pocket challenge on Wednesday, May 1. The Titans enter the challenge with a record of 15-4. Gibson Southern won 11-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Wood Memorial (Oakland City, IN)
