The Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts got by the visiting Lexington Minutemen softball squad by a final score of 5-4 in Tuesday's non-league battle.
The Grey Ghosts (14-12) will now prepare for their battle against Tolono Unity (Tolono, IL). The Rockets enter the Illini Prairie outing with a 16-7 record. In their last outing, Tolono Unity was tipped by St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL), 2-0, in a league outing.
The Minutemen (11-13) will now prepare for their outing against Eureka (Eureka, IL). The Hornets enter the Heart of Illinois outing with a 5-17 record. In their last outing, Eureka tipped Peoria Christian (Peoria, IL), 11-0, in a non-league outing.
