The Ottawa Pirates softball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Mendota Trojans to 0 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Tuesday.
With the triumph, Ottawa moves its record to 14-8 on the year. The Pirates host Kaneland (Maple Park, IL) to play the Knights in a Interstate Eight game on Wednesday, May 1. The Knights come into the game with a record of 8-8. Kaneland won 9-4 in their recent league game against LaSalle-Peru (LaSalle, IL)
In their next game, the Trojans play the Erie Cardinals (Erie, IL) in a non-league game, on Friday, May 3. Mendota will attempt to move on its 2-10 season record.
