In Wednesday's non-league game, the visiting Chesaning Indians baseball team scored a nice 15-1 win over the Merrill Vandals.
The Indians (7-3) will now prepare for their game against Montrose (Montrose, MI). The Rams go into the non-league game with a 0-6 record. In their last game, Montrose was overwhelmed by Lakeville (Otisville, MI), 6-1, in a non-league game.
Next, the Vandals play the Carson City-Crystal Eagles (Carson City, MI) in a Mid-State game, on Friday, May 2. Merrill will attempt to improve on its 5-5 season record. The Eagles go into the game with a 1-10 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Ithaca (Ithaca, MI).
