In Wednesday's league game, the host North Branford Thunderbirds baseball team scored a close 11-4 win over the Coginchaug Regional Blue Devils.
The Thunderbirds (10-1) will now prepare for their game against Haddam-Killingworth (Higganum, CT). The Cougars go into the Shoreline - Large game with a 8-1 record. In their last game, Haddam-Killingworth nudged Old Lyme (Old Lyme, CT), 10-1, in a non-league game.
Next, the Blue Devils play the Old Lyme Wildcats (Old Lyme, CT) in a non-league game, on Friday, May 2. Coginchaug Regional will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record. The Wildcats go into the game with a 1-10 record after their 10-1 non-league loss to Haddam-Killingworth (Higganum, CT).
