New York High School Baseball - La Salle Institute edges Schalmont

The crowd at Wednesday's league battle between the La Salle Institute Cadets (Troy, NY) and the host Schalmont Sabres (Schenectady, NY), saw La Salle Institute's baseball team beat Schalmont by a margin of 4-2.
The Cadets (9-1) will now prepare for their battle against Cohoes (Cohoes, NY). The Tigers enter the Section 2 Colonial battle with a 7-4 record. In their last battle, Cohoes held off Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk (Ravena, NY), 13-3, in a league battle.
Next, the Sabres face the Amsterdam Rams (Amsterdam, NY) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, May 1. Schalmont will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record.
