The Maplewood Rockets baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Mathews Mustangs to 0 in the Rockets non-league win on Wednesday.

The Rockets now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to John F. Kennedy Catholic for a non-league test on Thursday, May 1. Maplewood will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Boardman (Youngstown, OH). The Eagles record now stands at 6-6.

With the defeat, Mathews drops to 3-9 on the year. The Mustangs host Mineral Ridge (Mineral Ridge, OH) to clash with the Rams in a non-league test on Thursday, May 1. The Rams go into the test with a record of 11-2. Mineral Ridge won 9-2 in their recent league test against Waterloo (Atwater, OH)
