The St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans baseball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Westville Tigers to 0 in the Spartans non-league win on Wednesday.
The Spartans now hold a 23-2 record. They take the field next when they host Maroa-Forsyth for a non-league test on Friday, May 2. St. Joseph-Ogden will play a Trojans team coming off a 2-0 league win over Auburn (Auburn, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 15-5.
With the defeat, Westville drops to 17-2 on the year. The Tigers host Salt Fork (Sidell, IL) to play the Storm in a Vermilion Valley test on Friday, May 2. The Storm go into the test with a record of 12-6. Salt Fork lost 17-2 in their recent non-league test against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin (Bismarck, IL)
