Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Union Farmers (Union, NJ) and the visiting Plainfield Cardinals (Plainfield, NJ), observed Union's volleyball team top Plainfield by a tally of 2-0.

The Farmers (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Summit (Summit, NJ). The Hilltoppers enter the UCC - Watchung contest with a 4-11 record. In their last contest, Summit beat Linden (Linden, NJ), 2-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Cardinals meet the Roselle Catholic Lions (Roselle, NJ) in a UCC - Mountain contest, on Friday, May 2. Plainfield will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Lions enter the contest with a 0-2 record after their 2-0 league loss to Plainfield (Plainfield, NJ).
