The Mardela Warriors (Mardela Springs, MD) baseball trounced the visiting Cambridge-South Dorchester Vikings (Cambridge, MD), 17-2 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
The Warriors now own a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Decatur for a challenge on Thursday, May 1. Mardela will clash with a Seahawks team coming off a 7-3 non-league win over Kent Island (Stevensville, MD). The Seahawks record now stands at 10-3.
With the defeat, Cambridge-South Dorchester drops to 1-6 on the year. The Vikings host Queen Anne's County (Centreville, MD) to clash with the Lions in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 5. The Lions go into the challenge with a record of 11-0. Queen Anne's County won 7-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Parkside (Salisbury, MD)
