In Wednesday's non-league game, the visiting Pinkerton Astros baseball team scored a close 2-0 win over the Merrimack Tomahawks.
The Astros (6-1) will now prepare for their game against Spaulding (Rochester, NH). The Red Raiders go into the non-league game with a 4-3 record. In their last game, Spaulding nudged Manchester Memorial (Manchester, NH), 11-4, in a non-league game.
Next, the Tomahawks play the Exeter Blue Hawks (Exeter, NH) in a non-league game, on Monday, May 5. Merrimack will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record.
