In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the host Lake Forest Academy Caxys lacrosse squad scored a tight 12-6 triumph over the Wheeling Wildcats.

The Caxys (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Hoffman Estates (Hoffman Estates, IL). The Hawks go into the non-league challenge with a 7-6 record. In their last challenge, Hoffman Estates was overwhelmed by Prospect (Mt. Prospect, IL), 13-3, in a league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats clash with the Palatine Pirates (Palatine, IL) in a Mid Suburban challenge, on Thursday, May 1. Wheeling will attempt to better on its 2-12 season record. The Pirates go into the challenge with a 2-10 record after their 17-11 non-league loss to Hampshire (Hampshire, IL).
