Barry Western Wildcats (Barry, IL) backers left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Augusta Southeastern Suns (Augusta, IL), 14-1 in a league game.

With the triumph, Barry Western upgrades its record to 7-9 on the year. The Wildcats host Routt Catholic (Jacksonville, IL) to play the Rockets in a non-league game on Monday, May 5. The Rockets enter the game with a record of 0-12. Routt Catholic lost 20-1 in their recent non-league game against New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly (New Berlin, IL)

The Suns now own a 3-12 record. They play next when they travel to Quincy Notre Dame for a West Central game on Monday, May 5.
