The Avon Falcons softball squad (Avon, CT), was routed 13-4 in Wednesday's league contest with the visiting Maloney Spartans (Meriden, CT)

With the triumph, Maloney improves its record to 4-6 on the year. The Spartans host Newington (Newington, CT) to face the Nor'easters in a non-league contest on Thursday, May 1. The Nor'easters enter the contest with a record of 2-6. Newington lost 23-22 in their recent non-league contest against RHAM (Hebron, CT)

The Falcons now hold a 8-3 record. They play next when they host Northwest Catholic for a Central Connecticut - South contest on Friday, May 2.
