The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Bald Eagle Area Eagles (Wingate, PA) and the host South Williamsport Mountaineers (South Williamsport, PA), observed Bald Eagle Area's softball team get by South Williamsport by a final score of 1-0.

The Eagles (9-3) will now prepare for their bout against Westmont Hilltop (Johnstown, PA). The Hilltoppers go into the Laurel Highlands 1 bout with a 11-1 record. In their last bout, Westmont Hilltop tipped Bishop McCort (Johnstown, PA), 4-1, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Mountaineers battle the Holy Redeemer Royals (Wilkes-Barre, PA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, May 2. South Williamsport will attempt to better on its 11-3 season record. The Royals go into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 14-7 non-league win over Hanover Area (Hanover Township, PA).
